About Batteries N Bulbs
Batteries N Bulbs opened its doors in October 1992 in Sunnyvale, California, in the heart of Silicon Valley. We started as a small, independently owned brick-and-mortar bulb shop — back then we were known simply as The Bulb Store — helping neighbors track down the odd, hard-to-find light bulbs the big-box stores never seemed to carry. As more customers asked for specialty batteries to match, we grew, and in 2003 we changed our name to Batteries N Bulbs to reflect everything we'd become.
For more than 30 years, we've built direct relationships with nearly every major battery and bulb manufacturer in the world. That's what lets us solve the problems other stores can't — the appliance bulb for a Sub-Zero refrigerator, a low-voltage landscape fixture, a scientific or medical lamp, an audio-visual or technology battery, or a replacement cell for something you'd just about given up on. If there's a battery or bulb you need, chances are we already have it on the shelf — and if we don't, we'll find it for you.

Recently, after more than three decades in Sunnyvale, we made a big move. We relocated to a larger facility in Sacramento and brought our lighting business together with our builder-supply operation under one roof. Consolidating into a single large warehouse lets us carry deeper inventory, ship faster, and pass real savings on to you — the same expert, personal service we've always been known for, now backed by far more space and buying power.
